Garth Kester - Marketing Consultant
Marketing has been my lifelong passion and in the course of my career I have had the
privilege of working in a variety of senior executive and consulting roles in Australia and
internationally. My experience has included account service and strategic planning
positions with some of Australia's leading advertising agencies as well as marketing
management roles in national and international consumer goods companies.
I was national marketing manager for Cadbury Schweppes drinks division for a decade
and a half - an unusual occurrence in such a role that was influenced by having the ability
to work with such great brands as Schweppes, Pepsi Cola, Solo, Sunkist, Evian and many
other international and national brand icons. This position also took me to the UK, USA
and Europe where I was involved in various international marketing assignments.
I then started a marketing consultancy - Kester Marketing - in which I have since been
associated with a vast and diverse cross section of business models from fast moving
consumer goods, and consumer durables to industrial, leisure and transport services
industries.
This broad background has yielded unique insights into what makes marketing strategies effective at a practical "hands on"
level. It has also provided an ability to accurately assess and distil clients' needs into actionable plans that achieve desired
outcomes. I have encapsulated all the valuable marketing insights I have gained in my template based system for the
development of effective marketing plans in MARKETING PLAN BUILDER.
I continue to be involved in providing a range of business building services for SME’s ranging from developing and
implementing marketing plans to providing the full spectrum of marketing and corporate communications services.
